Refund Policy

1. Digital content, not a physical product
Every Filmpop rental is digital content delivered to you instantly — as soon as you pay, your rental window starts and you can watch straight away. Because of this, the standard UK right to cancel a purchase within 14 days (which applies to most online orders) doesn't apply here once you've started watching: under UK consumer law, that cancellation right ends once digital content starts being supplied with your agreement.
Instead of that 14-day window, we offer our own, simpler one:
2. Our refund window
You can get a full refund any time before you've watched more than 60 seconds of actual playback of the film. That's 60 seconds of real watching — pausing, or the page simply being open, doesn't count against you, and skipping ahead doesn't let you dodge the limit either. It's there so you have enough time to check the film loads properly and is what you expected, without it being a way to watch for free.
Once you cross that mark, the rental is no longer refundable, and this is enforced automatically — the option to request a refund disappears once you're past it.
3. How to request one
Contact us at hello@filmpop.co with which film and when you rented it. If you're within the refund window, we'll process it straight away.
4. How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the original payment method via Stripe, and typically show up within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card provider.
5. If a film is broken or not what it should be
If something's actually wrong with the film — it won't play, the wrong film loads, or similar — report it from the watch page or contact us directly, and we'll sort it out even if it's a slightly unusual case.
