1. About Filmpop

Filmpop is operated by Filmpop Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number: 17351844), with its registered office at 89 Witney Street, Burford, OX18 4RX. You can contact us at hello@filmpop.co.

By creating an account or renting a film through filmpop.co, you agree to these Terms.

2. What Filmpop is

Filmpop lets you rent individual films — no subscription. You pick a film, pay once, and get time-limited streaming access to watch it. There's no ongoing commitment and no recurring charge.

3. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to create an account and make a purchase.
  • You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity on your account.
  • You must provide a real, working email address — we use it to verify your account and, if needed, help you regain access to it.

4. Purchases and access

  • Prices are shown in GBP or USD (your choice) on each film's page, before you pay.
  • Payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
  • Once payment completes, you get access to stream that film for 48 hours from the time of purchase (or as otherwise stated at checkout). Access expires automatically after that — there's no separate cancellation needed.
  • Films are for streaming only through filmpop.co. Downloading, recording, or redistributing them isn't permitted.
  • Any tax owed on your purchase (VAT, sales tax, etc.) is calculated automatically by Stripe based on your location and added to the price at checkout.

5. Refunds

Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Content

Films made available on Filmpop are owned by, or licensed to, Filmpop or the relevant filmmakers. Purchasing a rental gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to watch that film during the rental window — it doesn't give you any ownership or broader rights in the film itself.

7. Reporting a problem

If something's wrong with a film — broken playback, wrong content, or anything else — you can report it directly from the watch page, or contact us at hello@filmpop.co.

8. Suspending or closing accounts

We can suspend or close an account that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, abusively, or in breach of these Terms. Where we do, any active rentals may be ended without a refund, except where a refund is separately owed under our Refund Policy.

9. Our liability

We provide Filmpop on an "as is" basis. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for losses that aren't a foreseeable result of us breaking these Terms, or for problems caused by third-party services we rely on (like Stripe, Mux, or your own internet connection) that are outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited — for example, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use Filmpop after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
